Top Tier Custom Floors is an owner-operated flooring contractor in San Diego County, California. It works for homeowners and builders in Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, La Jolla, and the cities around them. The company installs solid and engineered hardwood, herringbone and chevron floors, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, metallic epoxy, and polished concrete. A customer designed this floor with AI. We built it.
They showed up with a picture they had generated, black metallic epoxy shot through with gold. Nobody had built it. It only existed as an image.
A generated picture does not know how resin moves, and it does not know which pigments are real. Getting from that image to this floor meant working out which parts of it could actually be poured, and then pouring them.

Subfloors get fixed, not covered
Most floor failures start underneath. We flatten the subfloor and test the slab for moisture before any material goes down. An installation warranty is available depending on the material you choose, and the terms are written into your estimate.
Honest product recommendations
A rental with big dogs should get 20 mil vinyl, not hardwood. Nobody here earns a commission for talking you into the pricey option.
Pattern work that most installers decline
Herringbone and chevron have to be cut and set far more exactly than plain planks. We lay these patterns often, so your floor is not the practice run.

Simple, transparent, and in that order

We walk the space
Stone comes out himself, measures the rooms, and looks at what is already on the floor and under it.

We test before quoting
Moisture readings come first. A slab that reads wet changes the material and the price, and finding that out after the quote helps nobody.

You get it in writing
An itemized estimate covering material, labor, prep, and hauling the old floor away. No line appears on the invoice that was not on the estimate.

We lay it ourselves
The same few people who have worked beside Stone for years. The man who quoted the job is the man on his knees fitting it.
